PRECISION-ALS: A European, observational study of extensive data collection from individual ALS patients
PRECISION-ALS is a registry in which UZ Leuven, together with other European ALS centres, aims to gain a comprehensive picture of the clinical profile, disease course and treatment effectiveness of each individual patient. Because the clinical picture of each ALS patient is unique and unpredictable, this multicentre collaboration will allow us to map the clinical picture of a large number of patients and discover more subgroups and targeted therapies in the future. The study will last 36 months, with patients surveyed every 6-12 weeks. As this is an observational study, no medication will be administered and there are no specific inclusion or exclusion criteria besides a diagnosis of ALS.
Objectives:
PRECISION-ALS is a multicentre study in which eight European ALS centres aim to gain a comprehensive picture of each individual patient’s clinical profile, disease course and treatment effectiveness. This is an observational study using data collection where no medication is administered.
