A mom, dad, grandfather or grandmother with ALS? For little children it’s often not easy to understand what exactly it entails when a family member is confronted with the disease. Let alone for little toddlers, who often don’t get why for example grandma is in a wheelchair or can’t talk well anymore. That’s why the cute puppet ‘Little ALS’ was introduced. Soon she will (by request) go from classroom to classroom with the intention to make the toddlers (in Flanders) understand the disease better. ‘Little ALS’ clearly explains what ALS is and answers the questions children have. With this puppet it will become easier for toddlers to learn more about ALS in an interactive way.
